a. Written format includes:

· paper must be double-spaced typed

· must include titles of major areas

· complete data collection with graphs/charts other illustrations as needed

· comprehensive, though provoking conclusion

· complete discussion of future needs and recommendations

· grammar, spelling, punctuation will be checked

· all written work well organized in one folder/package

 Outline of Major Areas

 In General: Each paper will contain these major sections outlined below. Each section will be titled. All major facts and concepts must be referenced appropriately (see example below).Generally, papers are from 10 to 20 pages long.

I. Abstract

• ONE PARAGRAPH that summarizes the nature and design of your paper
• Includes all relevant points that you will make

II. Statement of the problem

• Why everyone absolutely must read your paper!
• What social, medical, scientific impact does it have for you/us
• Why you decided to research this topic

III. Introduction

• Background information necessary to understanding your topic
• include necessary vocabulary, concepts, and facts

IV. Main part ( pathophysiology/diagnosis ect.)

V. Review of Related Literature

• A thorough and complete, high quality search of topic
• Historical perspective if relevant

VI. Conclusion

• Related to literature and/or experimentation
• Your perception of your contemporary research
• The scope of the knowledge you gained
• Insight that you learned as a result (collateral knowledge)

VII. Recommendations for Future Research

• How would you change the path of your current study?
• Why would your new direction be important?

VII. Bibliography

• Minimum of 7 high quality sources
• Proper references to each major idea/concept and quoted author
• Cite when using facts or major ideas developed by someone else
• that you are using for support in your paper.
• Minimum 2 books ( 1995-2001)
• Minimum 2 magazines
